Many people find it revealing that U.S. citizens (along with other English‑speaking peoples) call themselves "Americans," ignoring the other 34 independent countries located in the Americas — whose inhabitants are also, technically, "Americans."
When I worked for a U.S. corporation with great international spread, I found it annoying to be catalogued as "ROW" (Rest of the World).
These two examples illustrate the arrogance of the United States in international geopolitics.
After the already‑executed Venezuelan "necessary national security intervention," it is clear to the impartial observer that the U.S. has now found a far‑fetched excuse to justify the invasion or dominace of Cuba.
It seems clear to me that the U.S. has always ignored or belittled international law whenever it interfered with its ultimate goal: the absorption of every other American state.
This becomes obvious in presidential memes portraying Canada, Venezuela, or even Greenland as a new U.S. state.
Regardless of how disgusting we may find the Venezuelan or Iranian regimes, or Hamas terrorists, the U.S. and Israel have engaged in "DEFENSIVE" illegal wars — even genocide — and no country has done anything beyond issuing ridiculous communiqués.
The MAGA movement appears to have decided that decades of economic sanctions on Iran, Cuba, and Venezuela are essentially worthless. Their reasoning, it seems, is simple: if you're one of the world's top three bullies, why not use your muscle? (Just don't so much as clear your throat toward Russia or China — and be sure to bring along your little sidekick, Israel.)
The concept of building a "Greater America" through defense is clearly anchored in the 2026 U.S. National Defense Strategy (NDS).
Our governments are complicit through silence or inaction. Germany even officially stated that it has long held a "special obligation" to Israel due to its Nazi‑era history, and therefore will not take any action against Israel's crimes against humanity.
This is to me utter nonsense. Modern Germany is no more responsible for Nazi crimes than Spain is responsible for Franco's crimes or the Catholic Monarchs' crimes against Spaniards, Native Americans, Jews, or Muslims in ancient or recent history.
What matters is the present. And right now, in my opinion, we are complicit — or at least our governments are.
I would be very interested in your take on these grave matters.
Why is the international community silent? Fear? Indifference? Ignorance?
