I have read an article about an Austrian cabaretist who is very famous in Germany and, in a way, often provocative. It is, at its core, a German discussion, but I think it is valid in the USA, too, these days, since the environmental setup is comparable. Mitch McConnell’s hometown newspaper just published a BRUTAL “pre-obituary” absolutely trashing the “detestable” Senator’s political legacy! He deserves every word of this… Mitch McConnell hasn’t been seen in public for over a month after suffering a serious medical issue and hospitalization. The aging Senator is not getting any younger either, so Louisville Courier Journal columnist Joseph Gerth decided to publish an HONEST obituary while the Senator was still breathing in order to avoid...

I may have mentioned this before, but this latest chapter is both scary and a little funny (YMMV). I know I can only speak for myself and the country I live in but it has started to become a pattern. A disgusting and abhorrent pattern. I cannot walk past a child crying, or ignore someone who falls and needs help. Lately (after >5 incidences with children), I've begun keeping in the background to see if anyone else reacts, but surprise! Noone does! People cooly walk past an 8-year old girl...

I was looking for a thread where I could post stories that are in my mind highly alarming, condemnable, or generally a sign that the USA is currently on a dangerous path toward a country that contradicts its own (former) values. Since I didn't want to hijack other existing threads, I will start a new one.
