Could anti-Trump songs help?

SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the potential impact of anti-Trump songs, particularly those incorporating catchy refrains like "Stable Genius." Participants suggest that using direct quotes from Trump in a mocking manner could create memorable and globally resonant music. The example provided features a parody of the "Battle Hymn of the Republic," emphasizing Trump's self-proclaimed intelligence. While some participants express skepticism about the effectiveness of such songs, the consensus leans towards the idea that humor can serve as a form of political commentary.

I see that quite a few people have written anti-Trump songs. I wonder how he would react to one with a catchy refrain of "Stable Genius!" or similar quote that could catch on globally. It should be possible to put together some sort of obvious mockery that is entirely made up of direct quotes and hence quite troublesome for him to reject (especially given his "great" IQ).

For example, to the chorus of the Battle Hymn of the Republic (Glory, Glory, Hallelujah)...

He's a very stable genius,
He's a very stable genius,
He's a very stable genius,
His truth is not switched on!

(Improvements welcome)

It is surprising that there have not been any hit songs about Trump. I accidently cames across this info today. The leading president for songs written about him is G. W. Bush, with three.

"When the President Talks to God" by Bright Eyes, 2005

"B.O.Y.B" ( Bring your own Bombs) by System of a Down, 2005

"American Idiot" by Green Day, 2004
(On Dick Clark's News Years Even celebration in NYC, Green Day dedicated this song to Trump (MAGA) by replacing lyrics with “I’m not part of the redneck MAGA agenda.”

Nixon had one.

"Impeach the President" by The Honey Drippers, 1973 (In 2019, when Trump was first impeached, its streaming increased 1,000%)

Based on the titles, they all could have been adapted for Trump.

I go along with what Jean-Claude Juncker (*) said about Trump. Citing my memory, he said that everybody considers Trump a clown and a moron, but that this underestimates the danger he poses dramatically.

I could add a very long list of damages he has already caused to the USA internally, including fatalities and crimes against humanity, as well as to its international reputation and reliability, not to mention his threats against Canada, Denmark, and Cuba, or his wars and bombings. All these gruesome facts, in my opinion, preclude the publication of funny songs about Trump. I'm thinking of his victims, and there are literally hundreds already. Come to think of it, my jokes in the relevant threads are already questionable, if not obscene.

(*) Juncker was President of the European Commission from 1 November 2014 to 30 November 2019. From 1989 to July 2009, he was Minister of Finance; from 1995 to December 2013, Prime Minister of Luxembourg; and from 2005 to 2013 Chairman of the Eurogroup.

A commenter on today's lead WaPo Trump War article posted lyrics from Gordon Lightfoot's amazing anthem "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald". I listened to Gordon's original and latest versions of the song while reading digital news, I am struck how the song evokes the indifference of capitalists to the fate of common workers, merchant sailors in this song.

While predating the Trump Wreck the emotions of the song speak to our shared suffering.
