SUMMARY

French Senator's recent speech sharply criticized Donald Trump's administration, highlighting the dangers posed by his policies to European stability. The senator emphasized that a defeat of Ukraine would equate to a defeat for Europe, citing the threats to the Baltic States, Georgia, and Moldova. He condemned the current U.S. leadership as reminiscent of Nero's court, with a focus on appeasement rather than confrontation. Former EU chief Jean-Claude Juncker's remarks further echoed this sentiment, asserting that Trump's divisive tactics would ultimately fail.

In addition to his blisteringly sharp description of Trump (example
We were at war with a dictator, now we are fighting a dictator backed by a traitor.
) he also discusses the ramifications for Europe of Trumps abdication of support for the Western alliances.

And first of all, let’s not be mistaken. The defeat of Ukraine would be the defeat of Europe. The Baltic States, Georgia, Moldova are already on the list. Putin’s goal is to return to Yalta, where half the continent was ceded to Stalin.

And he goes on to discuss what Europe needs to do.

I quite liked his line before that.

"Washington has become Nero’s court, with an incendiary emperor, submissive courtiers and a jester high on ketamine in charge of purging the civil service."

Have we seen any other euro politicians speak out since in such a manner?
The prevailing behavior of European politicians is like Chamberlain's policy of appeasement: duck, cover, and do not provoke the madman. They have to deal with the situation after all. The only one I remember using harsh words was Jean-Claude Juncker, who nowadays must count as retired.

Jean-Claude Juncker, former EU chief: ‘Trump’s goal is to divide us. And he will fail again’

It’s not like EU-US relations can get any worse under Trump, says former Commission chief Juncker

Have we seen any other euro politicians speak out since in such a manner?

Maybe not exactly from a politician, but similar.

We have a public TV channel in Germany and France, maintained and financed by institutes of both nations, that primarily has documentaries, culture, classic movies, and similar "cultural" topics in its program. Will say: no trash TV.

I just read the title of their prime time show tonight:

Trump: The Law am I

This is a pun referring to Louis XIV, who said: "L'état, c'est moi." (The state am I.)

It reflects what Europeans see in the Trump administration. We can safely assume that European politicians also know what everybody else in Europe knows. The only difference from the USA is that we, the common people, do not pretend he is anything other than a despotic, stupid moron equipped with nuclear arms.
