I am just starting a doctorate looking at interpersonal relationships in expectation development and learning outcomes. People do matter and they do influence each other. What we seem to be seeing in the current political "discourse" is a lot of influence and expectation but very little learning!
I'm in Australia and we are about to head into a Federal election, so the shadow of the US is very much present in our own political arena.
