Hadn't seen this one. I normally sympathize with Israel realizing that the Palestinians didn't have much choice in "electing" Hamas. But this is downright horrifying:

I think we're going to get a lot more AI disasters in 2026 as it advances with no regulation

Frankly speaking I'm not surprised since lately any excuse is good if it washes the objective you're seeking for but what the guys finding this 90% as acceptable is the 90% terrorism that will rise from the families of the killed.

I am not surprised, lately for some "elite murderers" any excuse is good enough to kill other people indiscriminately.
You only need to label anybody as illegal inmigrants, terrorists, traffickers... next will be socialists, tree huggers or whatever...

At this point already there is no effective way to regulate AI anymore.
It's completely out of the bag.
Well at least Europe is trying to do something about it, although it's not clear if they will have any success at all.

Does anyone want to argue that the similar strikes wouldn't have occurred given less sophisticated software for target selection? I am frankly taken aback that this discussion is around AI.

Hmm, yeah. Good point. In this day and age a politician can conveniently blame a faceless AI for the crimes he/she commits.

Not that AI isn't real but there's definitely a gray area with room for mischief.
