Who everyone is supporting in today’s USA vs Belgium match. May have to do with the recent scandal. FIFA is such a corrupt bunch of gangsters. Trump also, but that doesn't deserve mention.

I have at least seen a dozen different jokes with this subject today: smaller goal for the USA, red cards answered by a card with Trump on it, eliminated teams back in via phone call, Belgium playing with tied shoelaces, Infantino serving Coke Light into the Oval Office, Mbappé now playing for the USA, growth hormones for the US keeper (now a walrus), Trump as referee, USA beginning with a 5-0 headstart, and many that escaped me.
It is so ridiculous what's going on in the USA right now; permanently torn between crying and laughing.

FIFA is all about money and only money. They are corrupt as hell. Everybody who is halfway sane cannot understand this Schmierentheater, as we say here. Google translates it as "melodramatic trash; hammy acting; cheap melodrama", but Wikipedia doesn't have an English page for it. The German page suggests a Yiddish origin.

We have a circus act in German, too. The connotation of "Schmierentheater" is worse than a layman's play. It is definitely more negative than funny.

We say that the fish begins to stink from the head. One wouldn't believe it, but FIFA has an "ethics commission". Infantino is already an attempt at a reform after Blatter, but it only worsens. They even invented "hydration breaks" only to allow for commercials. It is so ridiculous. The latest jokes about the game are already online.
