I completely missed the Hands Off protests yesterday. Today, I tried searching for any upcoming events and it's more difficult than I expected. This thread is for links to organizations and protests. Let's not miss the next opportunities to be a part of the call to action! Also, if you attend one, please share. :)

This organization has a nice search tool to find groups in your own area and to register new groups.

Here's the Hands Off site.

Their partners section has lots of organizations listed:

My wife and I went for a walk yesterday and as we often do, cut through the metro station near our home. We noticed more people than usual headed to DC on a Saturday but didn't see any protest signs. Sorry that we missed it.

This is a pretty good website for local events

Ditto that. I never see anything at the nationwide level until it shows up on the news the next day.

Have you looked at the 50501 site.
They have a Guide under 'More' describing the decentralized grassroots theme.

Join us Online. The easiest way to get involved is to follow @50501movement on social media. Our main channel shares content and announcements that are relevant to all 50 states; from there you can discover your state and local channels for specific actions and activities near you. Main channels: Instagram, Bluesky, Tiktok, Facebook, Youtube, Threads, Mastodon. To find local branches type 50501 + (your state’s name) into your internet search bar.

Or start your own group of 1, and build up from there, by contacting friends and neighbors to join your group.
Maybe your group can be called ' Science for Democracy', or whatever.

See if that works.
Good luck.

Thanks @dlu The MayDay rally next week is coming fast. I need to seriously think about taking the day off and attending.

No Kings Day this Saturday.

Joining protest marches carry risks. For various reasons, one might want to remain anonymous. Authorities have various digital tools to track people's location and movement as well as participation in platforms such as this. This article in Wired gives recommendations for keeping your participation as stealthy as possible.

Anyone go to the No Kings protest? I went to a Juneteeth parade, but that wasn't so much a protest, but certainly was adjacent.

Totally missed the No Kings 2.0 last weekend. Did anyone go?
I’ve heard about the upcoming event on October 18.
