SUMMARY

The Reform UK party has achieved significant success in local elections, gaining numerous council seats. This party, which evolved from Nigel Farage's UK Independence Party (UKIP), aligns itself with anti-DEI, xenophobic, and fossil fuel expansionist ideologies. Analysis indicates that support for Reform UK is predominantly among individuals with lower educational backgrounds. The party's rise reflects a broader trend of divisive politics, reminiscent of similar movements in countries like France, Poland, and the USA.

The Reform UK party, which has just gained many council seats in local elections, stands for an alarmingly similar position to Trump. It evolved from Nigel Farage's UK Independence Party (UKIP) whose original purpose was to push through Brexit at all costs. It is now anti-DEI, xenophobic, racist, opposed to renewable energy and strongly supports expansion of fossil fuel usage. It is also clear from the map produced by the BBC that support is strongest among people with the least education.

Sir John Curtice: The map that shows Reform's triumph was much more than a protest vote:

The common theme of these parties seems to be selfishness, promising more for its followers at the expense of others. Those "others" are almost any group for which a label can be invented, but in many ways (for example the rejection of action on climate change and the environment) it is also at the expense of their own future generations! It is also divisive and antagonistic.

Everyone wants a bigger slice of the cake, but what they should be doing is cooperating to make more cake.

Selfish, uneducated white racists. Yeah, we've got that voting block here also.

Same here. And if we look at other countries, then it has already happened in France, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, and Turkey, and, of course, Russia, the USA, and Israel. Vance even publicly complained that our courts have ruled that our German party of wanna-be-Nazis may rightfully be called right-extreme. I'm still furious that this US-American Nazi dares to criticize German courts knowing absolutely nothing about the case. All other parties currently attempt to isolate those politicians, but this is getting harder with every seat they gain. It is a nightmare.
