The lack of a coherent, universally accepted definition for "god" doesn't mean the question of its existence is meaningless.
The concept "Freedom" doesn't have it either but its existence is definitely not meaningless.
I don't know how you would evaluate (other than gut feels) something that doesn't have a definition.

What is a god?
If I were to meet Allah, YHWH, Tane, Zeus, Estre, Indra, Odin, Ra, ... how would I assess if they are a god or not?
If I were to assess myself, how would I determine if I am a god or not?
What about my cat? Is it a god?
What about the Sun? a god?

If I tell you the all supreme Vishanti is a fudgyfurcicle, do you believe in Vishanti? Do you believe Vishanti is a fudgyfurcicle? Have you decided to believe that Vishanti isn't a fudgyfurcicle? Have you decided to believe that Vishanti doesn't exist? Have you decided to believe that fudgyfurcicle don't exist?

Or perhaps before you makeup some kind of belief are you going to ask me further questions to find out what a fudgyfurcicle is and why I claim that Vishanti is one? Or perhaps are you going to consider I'm talking complete nonsense and just ignore my incoherent unsupported claim altogether?

I don’t deny the possibility that god exists, but if he does, I strongly suspect He’s male — and a son of a bitch.
How have you evaluated that a god is possible to exist? What is a god? What is it made of? What environment does it need to exist in? How was it formed? Why would it be male? Does it procreate? Who is it procreating with? Is that not a god also, and wouldn't that god then be a female? so why do you say god is male, when perhaps there are two gods, one male, one female? And then their babies, gods too?

The only god I acknowledge is from Marvel — Thor, whose hammer Mjolnir is the mightiest tool on Earth.

I guess I'm not arguing that people shouldn't believe in gods, I can only speak for myself, not what others should or shouldn't do. But personally I see just saying "maybe" is avoiding the real issue that no one has made any meaningful coherent claim as to what a god actually is.
Some people say "My god, XYZ is The God, the one and only" and don't really go any further into what qualified that personality as a god. And so personally, I'm not a person that believes gods don't exist, I'm not a person that believes gods do exist, I'm not a person that thinks maybe they do, maybe they don't. I'm of the strong opinion that there is no coherent claim and so can't be evaluated. It's just utter nonsense, like to the point were common words are then given very different and incomprehensible meanings in order to perpetuate the fantasy of the god.
Like when Christian's say "God is love", makes absolutely no sense. Love is a human emotion, god is a human emotion? or does "Love" now mean something else?

Or when Theologans say that the Universe must have had a beginning and that the ultimate cause of the beginning of the universe must have been necessarily outside Space and Time and we call that God. Utter nonsense. God is the quantum vaccume? or someother phenomonum scientist haven't yet worked out?

Or when Catholics say the Eucharist Bread and Wine are literally Jesus' flesh and blood but then say when you test it, it wont have any blood or human DNA and that physically it won't be any different from bread or cheap wine. But that its the "substance" of Jesus flesh. i.e. "Transubstantiation (Latin: transsubstantiatio, Greek: μετουσίωσις, romanized: metousiosis) is, according to the teaching of the Catholic Church, "the change of the whole substance of bread into the substance of the Body of Christ and of the whole substance of wine into the substance of the Blood of Christ""
So what does "substance" now mean? What utter bollocks!

or the entire system may indeed collapse. What collapse might look like I am not sure.

...

That's why I am ambivalent about that SCOTUS ruling - the real cancer is Gerrymandering - there are no motivations for it (imo) that can make it a healthy thing for US republicanism. (At least this American doesn't care if we call our system a democracy or not).
The Republican party, The USA right based media do not care about Democracy anymore, for them it is to win at all costs. Over decades they have painted Dems as evil, as corrupt, as Satanic, Baby killers, as persecutors of Christianity, as destroyers of White Christian culture and the American way.

Given these beliefs, many Conservatives in USA would rather do away with democracy and voting because they don't want to risk having evil Democrats in power ever again.

People in Trump's power circle, his administration, his think tank, his influencers, his oligarchs, are increasingly more onboard with the idea of everlasting power for Trump and the Republicans. Many are scared to oppose Trump on anything, but also delighted at the opportunity to be given rewards (thrown scraps) when they do Trump's bidding. The DOJ is now a weapon for Trump, to attack his enemies and to shield Trump and his accomplices from any legal repercussions. The Tax department has been taken over, promising that Trump and his family will never again have to pay taxes.
The Supreme Court (the majority) is seemingly all on board with ensuring Trump and the Republicans retain power, and that the executive branch under Trump's leadership gains as much power as possible.

There is no longer any ethics, any beholden to the Constitution, any respect for democracy and having a working but adversarial relationship with the other parties.

The Democratic Party is still trying very hard to operate by the old rules, The Republican party have no interest in rules. The Republican supporters have no interest in rules.
I don't know how USA recovers from this. It feels like it would take something very drastic. Germany and Italy recovered but needed to lose a world war and have their leaders killed and their regimes forcibly toppled. Is it possible for USA to just peacefully flip back to democracy? Is it possible for the Republican party members to say "Hey, all those Trump years, we were just kidding, we were just going along with it because we were scared of Trump, but now he's gone, lets get back to democracy"

I'm not arguing that people shouldn't believe in gods, I
You are definetively not arguing with me. For me the possible existence of god is simply a mathematical possibility.
Only saying that the chances are not 0%.
All god constructs are made by humans and all are indeed utter bollocking, either needed by insecure minds or created in order to control a mass of insecure minds.
