SUMMARY

The recent U.S. bombing of Iranian nuclear sites has sparked significant debate regarding the implications of military action against Iran's nuclear program. Key figures, including President Trump and Senator J.D. Vance, have framed the conflict as a targeted effort against nuclear capabilities rather than a war with Iran itself. Analysts express concern over the influence of far-right Christian nationalists on U.S. foreign policy, particularly regarding the potential escalation of military actions. The discussion highlights the complex geopolitical landscape, emphasizing that Iran, with its substantial population and political cohesion, differs significantly from Iraq.

We are waiting for information on the US's bombing of several nuclear sites. In particular, whether or not Nukes were used. Hope not but that is bad enough. Thank You Mister President for doing what you criticized H W for doing in Iraq. No peace prize for you.

Ceasefire Iran-Israel in the works according to Trump/Vance.

( in other news, nut works come out from the US bunker busting . Laura Loomer "proud Islamophobe" tries to spread fear of Muslims, advising to 'arm yourself'. )

Now it is believed that Iran's nuclear program may be only set back a few months. Iran is the largest of all arab countries with the highest population. Iran most likely will try and build a bomb. What next, invade to take down the leadership like Ilraq? Iran is not Iraq. It is more politically cohesive. Negotiate, but how? There has got to be so much mistrust.

In an article published on June 25, Salon's Amanda Marcotte warns that Trump is getting a lot of input from far-right white Christian nationalists on the Middle East and explains why that is dangerous.

"The wild claims made by leaders of the Christian Right have also been in the mix: that Trump is a prophet sent by God to usher in the End Times, and that attacking Iran is necessary to bring about the end of the world and the return of Jesus Christ," the Philadelphia-based Marcotte explains. "It's this delusion that (Sen. Ted) Cruz was winking at, and it was likely a powerful reason Trump decided to escalate."

That Trump is a prophet sent by God to usher in the end times

Now that is scary.

Interesting to learn Persian != Arab
One of the oddest things I learned about Iran is that their region is the origin of the term "Aryan", as in those NAZI Aryan nation people.
I learned that from a bartender who is the son of Iranian immigrants.

It's a bit more complicated than I've expressed above, so you can learn more about it at wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aryan

I think the first 4 paragraphs will give a good general idea.

"Immanentizing the eschaton"...

One of the oddest things I learned about Iran is that they supposedly get on to the roofs of houses and scream out the (state "supported") hatred towards Israel and the US.

Can't remember if it's

or

The single most odd (and sweet) thing I read about Iran is that IKEA has become a place where young people meet when the government turn off the power during prayer and beds and sofas are everywhere. Of course I cannot find the link now....

I'll be back....
