Choke on smoke, scumbag nation.
That is funny as,
It used to be a few years back, the Asian areas that were reported to have the worst air quality, with cities having the population running around with masks, and we were shaking our heads on the air pollution they were willing to accept in the name of progress, at least that was the Net Zero media story being pushed.
Now, with the fires and smoke, move over Asia, several cities on NA are having to cope with having the worst air quality in the world, including Toronto, CA,
Canada is in line with being the highest CO2 emitter in the world per capita.
The boreal forests of Canada are much more than a CO2 sink. If not consumed by fire, the vegetation will die and rot, slowly releasing CO2 into the atmosphere.
Per capita,
Worldwide, wildfires in 2021 released about 1.8 billion tons of CO2 into the atmosphere, compared to about 38 billion from fossil fuels and industry.

In the Canadian province of British Columbia - a province with only 5 million people and vast forests - forest wildfires in recent years have emitted more CO2 than all fossil fuel burned by the population and industry in the province.
T
he estimate is that the direct fire emissions in 2017 were about 150 million tons of CO2 (plus/minus 30). This, according to Dr Kurtz, is two to three times the emissions from fossil fuel burned in B.C. during an entire year.
In the remote Northwest Territories - with an even smaller ratio of population to area of forested land - the catastrophic forest fires in 2023 contributed almost 300 times as much CO2 as human activities in that same province, during a typical year.
Carnie's Net Zero and Carbon Capture agenda is quite full of hypocrisy .
Had this smoke wafted over Ottawa and the Laurentian elite areas of Canada - well, as long as its not in my backyard seems to be the Trudeau and Carnie Liberal's way of operating the affairs of Canada, Communities up North were asking for help, ignored. Crisis management at its finest. Might as well include Doug the Slug Ford in there also.
Anyways, why recently there has been an uptick on the effects of forests fires in beyond me. Weather patterns has alot to do where the smoke goes. Where I live in lower Quebec I don't smell a thing - usually there is a haziness and 'bacon' in the air.
The most humourous response to the smoke is that the Epstein files were sent to Canada to get rid of, but the huge bonfire got out of control, and here we are, with Epstein still poking Trump.
